Natalie North
Environmental data collection and data analysis specialist

Natalie brings experience and expertise to the team though a robust background in environmental science and environmental management.

Background  field experience in soil science, hydrology, ecology and geochemistry gives her strong links with agriculture, horticulture and small-town communities across New Zealand and a passion for protecting and preserving terrestrial and aquatic environments. This diverse range of skills and interests drives Natalie to seek out practical, effective and holistic solutions to local and regional water quality challenges.

In addition to ‘closed system’ water quality associated with potable water and wastewater processing Natalie is also interested in managing diffuse water quality challenges, which includes consulting on Detainment BundsPS120© (DB). A DB is a compacted earthen structure built in a paddock across an ephemeral flow path to create a ponding area where surface runoff is intercepted, reducing sediment and nutrient loads to receiving waterways. Utilising hydrology modelling and LiDAR data within Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Natalie advises on, designs and manages detainment bund projects.
